Trusted roofers in Cookham, rated 5.0 from 150+ reviews on Bark, with free written quotes on everything we do. The village High Street, the Edwardian and inter-war houses of Cookham Rise and the big hilltop homes of Cookham Dean each need a slightly different roofer, and we are all three.
Cookham village is one of the best preserved High Streets on the Thames, and the roofs are a big part of why. Timber-framed cottages, Georgian brick houses and the former chapel that is now the Stanley Spencer Gallery sit under handmade clay tiles, old slate and plenty of lead, most of it inside the conservation area. Repairs here are about matching what is there, not replacing it with the nearest modern equivalent.
Cookham Rise, around the station, is a different generation: Edwardian and inter-war houses with plain clay tiles, tile-hung gables and bay roofs, and a fair few 1960s and 1970s additions with flat roofs that are now well past their design life. Up on the hill, Cookham Dean has large detached houses among the National Trust woodland, with the shade, leaf fall and moss that come with the trees.
All three are about twenty minutes from our base at Castle Hill in Windsor via Maidenhead, so quote visits and emergency callouts are quick. The photographs on this page are from a full clay tile re-roof with new leadwork we completed in Richmond, the same specification we would put on a period house here, and there are slate and flat roof case studies on our Our Work page. Every image is our own job.
For listed cottages and conservation-area houses, our heritage roofing page explains how we source handmade and reclaimed tiles, replace lead like for like and keep the original eaves, verge and ridge details that make a Cookham roof look right.
"Seal Pro Roofing did a superb job on our roof replacement. They were punctual, tidy and kept us informed throughout. The workmanship was excellent and the price was fair."
