Roofers in Wraysbury

Wraysbury is flat, open and surrounded by water: the Thames on one side, the old gravel lakes and the reservoir on the others. That is lovely on a summer evening and hard on a roof in January, when rain comes across the lakes sideways and there is no hill or tree line to slow it down. Wind-driven rain finds gaps that never leak in still weather, and it lifts anything that is not fixed properly.

The village is largely bungalows, chalet bungalows and 1930s houses along Welley Road, Station Road and the roads down to the river, with older cottages around the green and plenty of flat-roofed extensions and garages added since. Low-pitch roofs are the ones that suffer most in driving rain, because water is pushed back up under the tiles rather than running off, and flat roofs from the 1970s and 1980s are simply worn out.
