Roofers in Gerrards Cross

Gerrards Cross has some of the largest domestic roofs in South Buckinghamshire. The Edwardian and inter-war houses that spread out from the Common, along the roads towards Chalfont Park and down to the station, were built with steep pitches, deep hips, tile-hung gables and tall chimney stacks, most of them finished in plain clay tiles. They look magnificent. They also have a lot of places for water to get in.

Valleys, hip ridges, chimney flashings and the junctions where a later extension meets the original roof are where we find most Gerrards Cross problems. Clay plain tiles last a very long time, but the nails, battens and lead beneath them do not, and a roof that has quietly been shedding tiles into the gutter for years will eventually let go in a storm. We re-roof in matching clay where the covering has reached the end, and repair properly where it has not.

We are based at Castle Hill in Windsor, roughly twenty minutes from Gerrards Cross via Slough, so quote visits and emergency callouts are quick.
